Broadripple is Burning
Front and center for my favorite band in the world, Margot and the Nuclear So and So's, which if you haven't heard of them, then you should look them up. They are outstanding.
Needless to say, it was a glorious night.

Adventuring with my friend Steven! (sntphoto.tumblr.com/)
We went to the ridges (the old asylum) which was a big improvement for me because I don't even like horror movies. Oh it seems that we pretty much walked up every major hill in athens, I'm beyond exhausted. None the less, I'm headed to the PawPaw festival in a bit to continue my non stop shooting weekend.

Okay I know what you're thinking, this is a really bad picture, and you're right.
I was experimenting with hail mary shots, which is one required on a long list of pictures for my assignment, and this is the best one that turned out. We've been biking down to the farmers market, which is probably my new favorite place in athens. Lots of friendly people, lots of yummy organic food to snack on when I get sick of dining hall food.
I think I'm going to start shooting for real tonight so I don't waste your time with my not very good shots.
I'm very intimidated and also very excited, it takes me back to my photography editor audition, like I'm starting over trying to make a name for myself again. I'm so so so so excited to have pictures to take, I didn't know what to do with myself!

So me being me (and my roommate Katie) decided to sit through half the freshmen orientation and then leave. Which although I kind of wished i had stayed, because apparently the president's speech was hilarious, gave me a chance to get my lens and head on off to the orientation fair before it got too crazy! So I signed up for some things and took some pictures!

Third day in Athens and my first OU game. I've gotta say that it was pretty weird for me not walking up and down the field taking pictures, seeing as that's what I did my senior year at football games. What was even weirder was that I was not allowed to use my camera unless I wanted it confiscated. But I feel like that's something I'm going to have to deal with a lot because of all the crazy festivals that they don't want documented. So while I sat on "the hill" with all the other students I got to watch all the upperclassmen VisCom students walk down the side of the field with their cameras (that they can use) like heroes in a dramatic movie.
I can't wait to start taking pictures
